    Great service and friendly faces.

Located in the pretty downtown area of McCook.

Liver and onions surprised me...didn't expect it to be as good as home cooking, but it was!  Husband was pleased with chicken fried steak and eggs.

Cherry pie topped it all off.

    You won't be disappointed...so go.

Classic diner feel, except for one district trait- the cookie jars! Mostly awesome, sometimes creepy, but all part of the experience! I've been here two or three times over the past few years, and it's been good each time. A few days ago, we left the Bison football game at half time and headed here (tip- if you come on a Friday night once the football games over, it WILL be busy). We hadn't had dinner, and we're all pretty hungry. I ordered a cheeseburger basket. I really enjoyed it- I was a little bummed there was no lettuce and tomato included, but not a huge deal. A few of my dining companions ordered the patty melt- that looked REAL good, I think I'll order that next time. So yeah, overall, fun place. ALSO- they are the only place in McCook open 24/7, which is great if you're passing through in the night. Enjoy!

I've been here once , before I went I was told the food was pretty good , but maybe it was just that night or it was the cook that night but the food was a 2 out of 10, my food wasn't bad but really greasy and by the time I left my stomach hurt for the rest of the night, my boyfriends food looked disgusting I had no word it was supposed to be a  steak, but for some reason it was two thin pieces of some type of gray meat the only way we were able to describe it, that it looked like someone shaved an elephant's bottom, all I can say wouldn't recommend the steak late at night

For us it was a mixed bag. The breakfast items were really quite good. The two eggs seemed like 4, biscuit was ok and hashbrowns seemed to be from actual potatoes, not shaved hash from a freezer bag. The value for the price of breakfast was very good.

The dinner specials were not great the night we were there. Nothing very good about any of the meat items (chicken fried steak, roast). The gravy wasn't very good, but the mashed potatoes were. The creamed peas were ok as well.

May have been an off day, as they were very busy due to eclipse traffic. All of the cookie jars are quite the sight. We overheard that only half of the collection is on display - WOW!!

Awesome old-school greasy spoon. Very nice people, great service. Real made-from-scratch food! Holy Cookie Jars Batman!
